The Japan ICU Foundation and Pathways Japan launched a call for applications for refugee-background youth in Japan for the Educational Pathways Program on the 20th of September.
This year, in cooperation with five universities, namely Bunkyo Gakuin University, Ryukoku University, Tokiwa University, Waseda University, and International Christian University which had previously begun recruitment, a total of 12 young people with refugee backgrounds will be provided with opportunities for higher education at undergraduate and graduate schools.
Applicants’ nationality, application requirements, and the programs offered vary from program to program, so please refer to the websites below carefully for details before applying.

September 20 – October 11, 2024: Application period
Late October to early November 2024: First round of interviews (for those who pass the document screening)
Late November 2024: Second round of interviews (for those who pass the first round)
December 3, 2024: Announcement of results
