About TWIS
TWIS was established through the generosity of Mr. Toshizo Watanabe to support young people who have gone through the difficult experience of becoming refugees, but who continue to study and strive to contribute to society in the future. By providing the opportunity to continue their education, we will support them to find employment ,and to live and work in Japanese society with self-respect and confidence.
This scholarship is also unique in that it supports the applicant’s advancement and advancement to an institution of higher education of their choice, whether junior college, undergraduate or graduate school, and is a full scholarship that supports both tuition fees within a limit of 1.7 million yen and the living expenses. No repayment is required, and the scholarship can be combined with other scholarships.
