E2E For Refugee background youths In Japan

The global software company SAP is offering its Educate to Employ (E2E) program for 20 refugee-background youth in Pathways Japan’s programs with an opportunity to take the online capacity building courses on the platforms including coursera and SAP Learning Hub and earn certifications. This may lead to internship and job opportunities within the SAP ecosystem.
SAP and UMUZI, the global secretariat of E2E,  are pleased to host this opportunity in cooperation with its partner, Pathways Japan.

SAP is the market leader in enterprise application software. Headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, it is a multinational corporation with more than 105,000 employees in 130 offices worldwide.

E2E provides training in SAP’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software SAP S/4HANA and subjects such as financial management, supply chain management and human capital management. SAP Learning Journeys courses are free, but certification exams are not.

SAP will offer opportunities for around 20 individuals with a refugee background in Japan to complete SAP Learning Hub courses and take certification exams for free. As it is ideal for interested individuals to  be competitive for internship or job opportunities within the SAP ecosystem, participants will be encouraged to obtain SAP certificates..

YOUR JOURNEY

Once applicants submit their application, they will be granted access to Learning Block 1 (for the course list, refer to this link), the introductory level of the SAP Learning Journey courses. By taking this course, they can gain an understanding of what the SAP Learning Journey is like and determine whether it is a good fit for them.
Based on their applications and the results of the aptitude test incorporated in Learning Block 1 we will contact those who are selected to proceed to Learning Block 2 (for the course list, refer to this link). LB2 focuses primarily on the knowledge of business skills including Generative AI, which has become increasingly important for securing SAP related positions in today’s job market. In addition, the module includes practical Microsoft Excel skills that are often required in the workplace but rarely covered in depth through general training.

Applicants who joined and completed several courses in the E2E program last year, or who already possess intermediate skills in business and IT through relevant work experience or similar training, will be eligible for the Fast Track. Under this track, LB1 or/and LB2 will be waived, allowing participants to proceed directly to Learning Block 3 (for the course list of two certificates : Application Consultant and Dev Associate, refer to this link ), which is the preparation course and exam. Eligibility for the Fast Track will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account each applicant’s background, experience, and skill level.

Here is a blog post that outlines the path to a certification starting from zero. Applicants are encouraged to read this first.
