Japanese Language School Pathways for Admission of Syrian, Afghan, and Ukrainian students announces FY 2025 Application Outline

Pathways Japan implements “Japanese Language School Pathways,” a program that admits students with refugee backgrounds from Syria, Afghanistan, and Ukraine to Japan to study at a Japanese language school for two years and pursue higher education or employment.

We are pleased to announce that we have released the application outline of the programs for admission in FY2025. 24 students in total, 8 from each country, are planned to be admitted through the “Japanese Language School Pathways” program in FY2025.
*In addition, applications for the “University Pathways” program, in which students study at universities offering Japanese language and higher education, are planned to be started in September.

The application period for these programs is from Friday, August 2, 2024 through Thursday, August 22, 2024.
For each program, we will hold online information sessions.
If you are considering applying to any of the programs, please attend the information sessions if possible, read the program overview and application guidelines carefully, and submit your application by the deadline using the application form.
