Representative Director Orii will be speaking at “World Refugee Day: Transforming Higher Education and Life-Long Learning” organized by UNESCO to commemorate World Refugee Day on June 20. This event serves as a platform to promote the inclusion of refugees and displaced persons in higher education to achieve the education goals of the 2030 SDGs by inviting practitioners, government officials, and refugees from various countries as speakers. Representative Director Orii will speak at the third session, “Navigating the policy world for the integration of refugees and other displaced populations in various national contexts,” and he will introduce initiatives in Japan to admit refugees and displaced populations in educational institutions.
